Experience the warmth of eco-friendly solutions in Paris this winter, courtesy of ENGIE's CPCU - La Compagnie Parisienne de Chauffage Urbain, the City of Paris district heating network. Operational for nearly a century, this network is France's most extensive and the world's second-largest after New York City, spanning over 500 km. It serves over 6,000 buildings and 1 million Parisians, including essential facilities like hospitals and schools, 24/7, all year round. The network is constantly expanding and significantly, more than half of its energy now comes from renewable or recovered sources. 🌿
I had the privilege of visiting the Saint-Ouen site recently, one of CPCU’s 8 plants, that produces steam and electricity from a combination of biomass and gas. I was impressed by the professionalism and dedication of the teams on site, particularly their commitment to ensuring #OneSafety remains a top priority in their daily work. This year, their efforts will be supported by a new #digital solution developed by ENGIE’s digital and Health & Safety teams. The tool will help technicians to better assess safety risks on site and proactively reduce the number of accidents. This is just one example of how ENGIE leverages technology to drive operational excellence. 💻
