Microsoft AI Tour Paris
It was great to speak at the Microsoft AI Tour in Paris today about the opportunities we are realising with AI and to share ENGIE’s GenAI strategy and a few use cases.AI is far from being a new topic at ENGIE, and democratisation of GenAI is bringing it to the fore of our digital transformation. I reflected today on several types of GenAI use cases we are scaling up, related to:
💎 Business priorities, in particular our key priority of operating in a safe environment, where this tech is helping us to learn from past incidents in order to prevent future ones and making sure there is no life, asset or mind at risk.
🔓 Internal knowledge mining, for example equipping our managers with a virtual finance controller 'in the pocket', enabling them to retrieve key financial data in seconds.
🙋♀️ Customer value and experience, to meet the evolving needs of our clients while supporting employee productivity and up-skilling. In Belgium, our energy retail call agents are saving time every day thanks to a GenAI solution that automatically generates tailored responses to customer requests and our customers are getting faster answers to their questions.
👉 To reap the benefits of GenAI in the longer run, data and people will be key. On the latter, engaging people is crucial to fight the 'fear of getting in' and to unleash business value. And this applies to all of us, from senior leaders to fields technicians, from our workforce to partners and clients.Thank you Corine De Bilbao, Hayete Gallot, Jessica Hawk for inviting me to be part of your inspiring keynote. And well done Microsoft for achieving a record in female representation in a tech keynote! ;)
